Playa Blanca a recently developed resort, with a beautiful new promenade. Just 4km from the quaint fishing village lies the island's most beautiful beach, Papaqayo. This is a true paradise almost unequalled anywhere else in the world. The resort offers a wide variety of accommodation all of which is up to an incredibly high standard. There are numerous restaurants and bars and if you feel up to it you can always take the ferry to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. The trip takes just 25 minutes and is a fabulous excursion.
Costa Teguise is renowned for its wide range of sports that can be enjoyed from its incredible beaches - diving, windsurfing, sailing, deep-sea fishing, golf and an aquatic park are all features. Shopping is a must in Lanzarote and shopping centres can be found in the main resorts. Visit the Sunday market in Costa Teguise if you are looking for local produce and souvenirs.
